About the Role
Fujitsu is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our team in Burnaby, BC.
Our client is a large, complex, and highly regulated organization that delivers IT projects in a structured, well-controlled environment. As part of Fujitsu’s fully outsourced IT delivery model, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that involve multiple service providers, vendors, and internal and external teams. The Senior Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring successful project delivery across both Application Development and IT infrastructure domains.
You will be accountable for the overall planning, execution, and governance of projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget — while managing risks, maintaining quality standards, and aligning outcomes with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring successful outcomes that meet client expectations for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Work collaboratively with Portfolio Managers, Architects, and senior stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project statements, plans (scope, communications, quality, risk, schedule, and financials), and progress reports.
• Oversee project governance, ensuring adherence to organizational processes, controls, and compliance standards.
• Drive proactive risk and issue management, developing and executing mitigation strategies to ensure project stability and success.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to delivery teams, fostering accountability and performance excellence.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination, managing dependencies across multiple teams and external partners.
• Maintain and enforce change control processes to ensure alignment with approved project baselines.
• Conduct regular project reviews and status reporting for executive and client audiences.
• Escalate critical issues, risks, and scope deviations to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
Technical Coordination
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of infrastructure and application delivery components to effectively manage schedules and facilitate technical discussions.
• Oversee projects that may include Application development, server OS upgrades, Active Directory modernization, and other infrastructure initiatives.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define and validate technical requirements, ensuring alignment with project and business goals.
• Maintain a continuous learning mindset to stay current on emerging technologies, delivery practices, and industry trends relevant to project success.________________________________________
Qualifications & Attributes
• Extensive (15+ years) experience managing IT projects in large, complex, and regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of both Application Development and IT infrastructure delivery lifecycles.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and manage expectations at all levels.
• Strong financial management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Results-oriented with a structured and methodical approach to planning and execution.
• Adaptable, collaborative, and effective under pressure in dynamic environments.
• PMP, ITIL, and Agile certifications are considered assets but are not required.
Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $130,000 to $160,000CAD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
