Wayfinders is Fujitsu’s new business and technology management consulting firm built for the AI era. Position Overview: Wayfinders Engagement Consultant – Data & AI

Associate Partners are senior leaders responsible for owning client relationships, growing accounts, and shaping the AI and data agenda for a portfolio of clients. They operate at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and commercial leadership, ensuring that Wayfinders’ work delivers sustained business value at enterprise scale.

This role is accountable for account growth, delivery excellence across multiple engagements, and the development of high-performing consulting leaders. Associate Partners are expected to be visible market-facing leaders who help define Wayfinders’ point of view on AI-driven transformation.


 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Account Ownership

  • Own senior executive relationships across business, data, and technology leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on AI, data, and technology-enabled transformation
  • Translate client strategy into multi-year AI and data roadmaps with measurable outcomes
  • Maintain accountability for overall client satisfaction, outcomes, and long-term value

Commercial Leadership & Growth

  • Drive account growth through opportunity identification, deal shaping, and closing
  • Lead or support proposal development, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations
  • Manage revenue, margin, and delivery health across engagements

Technical & Solution Oversight

  • Provide senior technical oversight across multiple AI and data engagements
  • Validate architectural approaches spanning data platforms, ML, LLMs, agents, and orchestration layers
  • Ensure AI solutions are production-grade, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards
  • Guide teams on tradeoffs between rules-based systems, ML, LLMs, and hybrid approaches
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical, architectural, or Responsible AI decisions

Delivery & Quality Governance

  • Ensure delivery teams apply strong engineering discipline, MLOps practices, and lifecycle management
  • Oversee integration of AI systems into enterprise workflows and operating models
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, privacy, and Responsible AI principles

People & Practice Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Engagement Managers, Managing Consultants, and senior technical leaders
  • Build and sustain high-performing teams aligned to Wayfinders’ technical and delivery standards
  • Contribute to talent strategy, including hiring profiles and technical capability development

Market & Thought Leadership

  • Represent Wayfinders externally in executive, architectural, and technical forums
  • Shape and communicate points of view on AI architectures, agentic systems, and enterprise transformation
  • Contribute to development of reusable architectures, accelerators, and technical IP

 


 

 

Required Skills & Experience

Experience & Education

  • 12+ years of experience in consulting or equivalent senior industry leadership roles
  • Proven ownership of large, complex AI or data transformation programs
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred

Technical & Architectural Competency

  • Strong understanding of modern data and AI architectures, including:
    • Cloud-native data platforms and pipelines
    • ML and advanced analytics systems
    • LLM-based solutions (prompting, RAG, agents)
    • Orchestration, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Ability to evaluate architecture, platform, and tooling decisions (e.g., data platforms, AI frameworks, cloud services)
  • Experience overseeing production AI systems and understanding operational risks (performance, drift, reliability, security)
  • Fluency in Responsible AI, governance, and enterprise risk considerations

Business & Leadership Competencies

  • Executive-level communication and influencing skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with revenue and margin accountability
  • Proven people leadership and coaching at senior levels
  • Ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes and financial impact
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity while driving alignment and execution

 

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. ​ It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated between $210,000 and $270,000. ​Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
