Role Purpose
Responsible for delivering end-to-end SAP solutions by analyzing business requirements, designing and configuring systems, and ensuring successful implementation and support. This role plays a critical part in optimizing business processes through SAP best practices, facilitating knowledge transfer, and ensuring high-quality documentation and compliance with project standards. The consultant also facilities knowledge transfer, supports competency development, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within their area of specialization.
Key responsibilities
- Work on scoping, data gathering, and system analysis within area of specialization.
- Re-engineer business processes and propose optimized solutions based on SAP best practices or tailored company-specific approaches.
- Present proposed solutions and project blueprints to stakeholders.
- Configure and design SAP systems according to signed specifications.
- Prepare and conduct SAP workshops and competency team training sessions.
- Document configurations, functional/technical specifications, and end-user manuals.
- Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage transport requests and perform revalidation as needed.
- Facilitate data migration by preparing templates, tools (e.g., LTMC, LSMW), and assisting clients with uploads.
- Provide post-implementation support and resolve system issues.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, templates, and documentation standards.
- Support project managers in securing documentation sign-offs.
- Mentor junior and mid-level consultants.
- Assist the Competency Manager in developing SAP documentation and knowledge assets.
- Continuously enhance functional and technical expertise.
- Maintain weekly time records (TRS) and respond promptly to communications.
- Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies following prescribed communication protocols.
- Performs any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager.
