Global Delivery is Fujitsu's delivery engine across multiple Global Delivery Centers (GDCs). Our GDCs provide competitive and innovative services to customers via the Regions and continue to accelerate Fujitsu's globalization journey.

The vision is to operate as one trusted team, enabled and motivated to deliver competitive and innovative services that contribute to customers’ sustainable success and growth.

Hybrid IT and Digital Workplace (HIT&DWP) Service Line fuels Fujitsu's growth by delivering competitive and innovative services worldwide across Network & Enterprise Cybersecurity, Digital Workplace & Digital Transformation, Cloud & Intelligent Infrastructure Management, and Program & Project Management Services.

Our commitment to quality, competitiveness, standardization, and workforce development enables the Service Line to remain agile and responsive to changing customer and market needs.

Purpose

The Azure DevOps COE Engineer will support the transformation of Hybrid Experience and Modern Workplace (HXMW) services by engineering, standardizing, automating, and continuously improving Azure DevOps capabilities used across global delivery teams.

The role will design and maintain reusable pipelines, source-control standards, infrastructure and configuration automation, quality controls, and engineering guidance that enable secure, repeatable, and efficient delivery across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, virtual desktop, application packaging, and related Digital Workplace services.

Key Objectives

  • Azure DevOps Engineering: Design, build, maintain, and improve Azure DevOps repositories, branching strategies, build and release pipelines, templates, agent configurations, environments, approvals, and reusable engineering components.
  • Automation and Platform Enablement: Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, JSON/YAML, REST APIs, and infrastructure-as-code practices to reduce manual effort and improve repeatability across HXMW services.
  • COE Standards and Governance: Define and promote engineering standards for source control, pipeline design, naming, documentation, secrets handling, access control, change traceability, peer review, and release governance.
  • Secure Engineering: Embed security, quality, and compliance controls into development and deployment workflows, including credential protection, code review, testing, auditability, dependency management, and controlled promotion between environments.
  • Service Integration: Integrate Azure DevOps workflows with relevant Microsoft cloud and enterprise service-management platforms to support request fulfilment, deployment, operational support, reporting, and traceability.
  • Reusable Solutions: Create standardized templates, scripts, runbooks, reference implementations, and accelerators that can be adopted consistently across customers and Global Delivery Centers.
  • Operational Support: Investigate and resolve pipeline, repository, agent, permission, deployment, and automation failures. Support technical escalation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Continuous Improvement and AI Adoption: Identify opportunities to apply automation, analytics, AI-assisted engineering, and modern development practices to improve delivery speed, quality, and engineer experience.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical guidance, mentoring, demonstrations, documentation, and knowledge-transfer sessions for HXMW engineering and operations teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with service architects, product owners, security teams, delivery managers, customer teams, and engineers to translate requirements into supportable engineering solutions.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications)

  • Experience: Several years of experience in IT engineering, DevOps, cloud operations, workplace technology, or automation, with hands-on delivery using Azure DevOps.
  • Technical Background: Practical experience with Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, YAML, Git, pull requests, branching, artifacts, service connections, permissions, and deployment controls.
  • Automation: Strong scripting capability, preferably PowerShell, with experience using APIs, structured data formats, and reusable automation patterns.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows management, or other HXMW service technologies.
  • Delivery Practices: Understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, ITIL, change management, release management, testing, and operational support practices.
  • Education: Degree or equivalent practical experience in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Power Platform, security, ITIL, or Agile certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Competencies / Capabilities (Skills, Knowledge, and Proficiency)

  • Azure DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of Azure DevOps services and the ability to create maintainable, scalable, and reusable engineering solutions.
  • CI/CD and Source Control: Practical knowledge of Git workflows, YAML pipelines, environment promotion, approvals, artifacts, versioning, testing, and release controls.
  • Automation Engineering: Ability to design reliable scripts and automation with appropriate error handling, logging, configuration management, and documentation.
  • Security and Governance: Understanding of least privilege, privileged access, secrets management, secure coding, auditability, compliance controls, and segregation of duties.
  • HXMW Domain Knowledge: Ability to apply DevOps practices to Digital Workplace services, including endpoint, identity, collaboration, application, and virtual desktop operational use cases.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability, including root-cause analysis and structured resolution of complex engineering and operational issues.
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement: Commitment to standardization, measurable improvement, peer review, testing, reusable engineering, and reduction of operational risk and technical debt.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and work effectively with global, multicultural, and cross-functional teams.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand delivery and customer requirements and convert them into secure, supportable, and commercially practical solutions.
  • Adaptability and Learning: Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging Microsoft, DevOps, automation, AI, and workplace technologies and apply them responsibly.
  • Ownership and Accountability: Proactive ownership of assigned deliverables, documentation, risks, defects, and operational outcomes.
