Mandatory Skills Required:
C/C++ Programming (Mandatory), PostgreSQL or Database Internals (Mandatory), OS: Linux
Other Required Skills: Python, Shell scripting
Tasks Requirements:
Database Administration: Deep understanding of Database Internals. Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL servers, including upgrades and patches.
Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify, isolate, and reproduce software defects reported by users or discovered through testing and telemetry data.
Code Maintenance & Enhancement: Implement fixes and write clean, efficient, and maintainable C code to address bugs and improve application performance, reliability, and security.
Testing and Validation: Develop and implement unit tests and test applications to verify fixes and prevent future regressions.
Performance Optimization: Analyse existing code for bottlenecks and optimize software performance, with an emphasis on manual memory management in C.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of the C programming language, its syntax, standard libraries, and system-level programming concepts.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail, to effectively diagnose and resolve complex issues.
