Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Order Management Cloud Support Consultant to provide managed services support for Customer’s Oracle Order Management and related order-to-cash application processes. The resource will support day-to-day production issues, enhancements, user inquiries, order processing, pricing, fulfillment, and quoting-related processes.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management, with working knowledge of quote-to-order and order-to-cash processes. Oracle CPQ experience is a plus, but not mandatory. The resource should be able to support quoting-related data flow, pricing issues, order creation, orchestration, fulfillment exceptions, integrations, and coordination with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide ongoing managed services support for Oracle Order Management Cloud and related order-to-cash functions.
Support business users with issues related to:
Quote-to-order flow
Sales order creation
Order capture
Pricing
Discounts
Holds
Order orchestration
Fulfillment
Shipping coordination
Returns/RMAs
Customer and item-related order issues
Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, configuration issues, and user inquiries.
Troubleshoot order failures, stuck orders, orchestration errors, fulfillment exceptions, pricing errors, and integration issues.
Support quoting-related processes even where Oracle CPQ is not implemented, including quote validation, quote conversion, pricing review, and quote-to-sales-order handoff.
Work with upstream systems such as CRM, quoting tools, customer portals, EDI, or custom applications to support quote and order flow.
Collaborate with downstream teams supporting Inventory, Shipping, Receivables, Manufacturing, Procurement, and integrations.
Review and support configurations related to order orchestration, pricing strategy, fulfillment lines, holds, processing constraints, document sequencing, and approvals.
Support issue triage involving REST/SOAP integrations, FBDI imports, scheduled processes, and order import failures.
Assist with minor enhancements, configuration changes, testing, and deployment activities.
Prepare functional specifications for reports, integrations, extensions, workflows, or process improvements as needed.
Participate in Oracle quarterly update impact analysis, regression testing, and production validation.
Coordinate with Oracle Support for SR creation, tracking, and resolution where required.
Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, issue logs, and resolution notes.
Ensure timely response and resolution in line with agreed SLA expectations.
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of experience in Oracle ERP applications, with at least 3+ years in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management.
Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud Order Management processes, including:
Order capture
Order orchestration
Pricing
Fulfillment
Holds and exceptions
Returns/RMA processing
Order revisions and cancellations
Working knowledge of quote-to-order and order-to-cash business processes.
Experience supporting quoting-related activities such as quote validation, quote pricing, quote conversion, quote-to-order handoff, and order creation from upstream systems.
Ability to troubleshoot order import, orchestration, pricing, fulfillment, and integration issues.
Experience working in a production support or managed services environment.
Understanding of integrations between Oracle Order Management and related applications such as:
Inventory Management
Shipping
Pricing
Receivables
Manufacturing
Procurement
Customer Data Management
Third-party quoting or CRM systems
Familiarity with Oracle scheduled processes, ESS jobs, error logs, and diagnostic tools.
Experience working with Oracle Support and managing Service Requests.
Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to analyze issues and recommend practical solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle CPQ experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Oracle Cloud Order Management or SCM certification is a plus.
Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, automotive, or industrial products companies is preferred.
Knowledge of Oracle Pricing Cloud, including price lists, discount lists, pricing strategies, and pricing algorithms.
Familiarity with EDI order flows, order import, customer portals, and third-party sales channels.
Experience with configurable products, configured orders, kits, models, or assemble-to-order processes is a plus.
Understanding of drop ship, back-to-back, make-to-order, and internal material transfer flows is beneficial.
Knowledge of OTBI, BI Publisher, and order management reporting is a plus.
Module / Process-Specific Expectations
Oracle Order Management Cloud
Support sales order creation, order revisions, cancellations, holds, approvals, and order status tracking.
Troubleshoot order processing errors, stuck orders, orchestration failures, and fulfillment exceptions.
Support business users with day-to-day order management questions and operational issues.
Quoting / Quote-to-Order
Support quoting-related business processes and data flow from quote creation through sales order conversion.
Analyze quote-to-order issues involving pricing, customer data, item configuration, discounts, approvals, and order handoff.
Work with upstream quoting, CRM, or custom applications to resolve data and integration issues.
Oracle CPQ experience is helpful but not required.
Pricing
Support pricing setup and troubleshooting related to price lists, discount lists, pricing strategies, charges, adjustments, and manual price overrides.
Investigate pricing discrepancies between quote, order, invoice, or downstream systems.
Fulfillment / Orchestration
Support order orchestration, fulfillment line errors, shipping interface issues, and fulfillment delays.
Collaborate with Inventory, Shipping, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Troubleshoot order-to-shipment and order-to-invoice process failures.
Integrations
Support issue triage for integrations involving upstream quote/CRM systems, EDI orders, customer portals, shipping systems, and financial applications.
Analyze integration errors, failed imports, rejected orders, and data mapping issues from a functional perspective.
Soft Skills
