Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Senior Supply Chain Functional Consultant to join our growing team. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM) from a functional perspective. The successful candidate will be pivotal in translating complex business requirements into robust Oracle SCM solutions, ensuring optimal system configuration, and driving successful client adoption. Exceptional communication and a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes are essential. We have opportunity to shift process from oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
Lead discovery sessions and workshops with clients to thoroughly understand and document complex supply chain business processes and requirements across various departments.
Analyze as-is and to-be scenarios, identifying gaps, and recommending best-practice solutions using Fusion SCM capabilities.
Translate business needs into comprehensive functional specifications, process flows, and configuration documents.
Solution Design & Configuration:
Design and configure Oracle Fusion SCM modules to support intricate client supply chain processes.
Specialize in the functional setup and optimization of:
Warehouse Management (WMS): Defining and configuring inventory organizations, sub inventories, locators, rules (picking, put-away), material movements, and cycle counting within Oracle.
Order Management (OM): Setting up order types, workflows, sales order processing, fulfilment sets, holds, and returns management.
Advanced Pricing (QP/Pricing Cloud): Configuring price lists, modifiers, discounts, agreements, and pricing strategies to meet complex business rules.
Shipping (WSH/Shipping Cloud): Establishing shipping parameters, delivery creation, picking rules, ship confirmation, and integrating with external carriers.
Inventory (INV): Managing item master, inventory transactions, inter-org transfers, receiving, adjustments, and inventory costing methods.
Develop functional designs for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICEW) as needed, collaborating closely with technical teams.
Implementation & Post-Implementation Support:
Lead and execute functional testing activities, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Prepare and deliver comprehensive end-user training and documentation.
Provide expert functional support during go-live and post-implementation phases, troubleshooting configuration issues and guiding users.
Assist with data validation and migration strategies from a functional perspective.
Client Management & Communication:
Act as a primary functional point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and fostering trust.
Clearly articulate complex Oracle SCM functionalities and their business impact to diverse audiences (business users, IT, management).
Conduct effective presentations, status meetings, and client reviews.
Identify and mitigate project risks from a functional standpoint.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of new Oracle EBS patches, updates, and Oracle Fusion SCM cloud releases, evaluating their impact and potential benefits for clients.
Recommend process improvements and system enhancements to maximize client ROI.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
8+ years of dedicated functional consulting experience with Oracle Fusion SCM.
Demonstrated experience in leading and completing multiple full lifecycle Oracle SCM implementations as a functional consultant.
In-depth functional expertise in: Warehouse Management, Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Shipping, and Inventory modules within Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud.
Functional Knowledge:
Strong, hands-on configuration experience across the specified Oracle SCM modules.
Ability to define and articulate end-to-end business processes supported by Oracle SCM.
Understanding of integration points between SCM modules and other Oracle modules (e.g., Financials, Procurement).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical/functional concepts for business users.
Superior interpersonal and client-facing skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Proven ability to conduct effective workshops, training sessions, and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves):
Oracle Certifications in relevant SCM Cloud
Experience with other Oracle SCM modules (e.g., Planning Central, Manufacturing, Procurement Cloud).
Prior experience in a pre-sale’s functional role, demonstrating Oracle SCM capabilities to prospective clients.
Industry experience in manufacturing, retail, distribution, or logistics.
