We are seeking an experienced Senior Desktop Technician to provide Level 2 and Level 3 support across our customer's End User Computing (EUC) environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, resolving complex incidents, maintaining endpoint technologies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services.
 
Based onsite at our customer location in Manukau, Auckland, you will play a key role in ensuring a reliable and secure end-user experience while working collaboratively across technical teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Desktop Technician, you will:
  • Act as the primary Level 2 and Level 3 escalation point for end-user computing incidents and service requests.
  • Take ownership of incidents through to resolution, ensuring excellent customer outcomes and adherence to ITIL service management practices.
  • Support and maintain endpoint management systems, including antivirus solutions, backup services, monitoring platforms, and access management processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktop, laptop, mobile, printer, and peripheral technologies.
  • Support and maintain Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android environments.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to implement changes, review peer work, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services, processes, and customer experience.
  • Manage and deliver small-scale technical projects and initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while representing Fujitsu's One Fujitsu culture.
  • Maintain awareness of current technologies, standards, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Squad Manager.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting and troubleshooting end-user technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining and supporting Windows-based desktop environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Microsoft 365 (O365)
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
    • Windows operating systems
  • Demonstrated experience supporting:
    • Apple macOS
    • iOS devices
    • Android devices
  • Experience using endpoint management platforms, including SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with SOE principles, LAN environments, and incident/problem management processes.
  • Scripting knowledge, particularly PowerShell and/or VBScript.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Desirable

  • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification.
  • Experience driving continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to project delivery within operational IT environments.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications & Certifications

The successful candidate will hold:
  • ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
  • Certificate IV in Information Technology (or higher qualification)
