Position Title: Japanese Bilingual Specialist (Japanese-English)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Setup: Hybrid (Onsite at BGC, Taguig)Role Level: Mid - Senior
Shift: Shifting Schedule
Language Requirement: Assessed or Certified @ JLPT N1-N2, or Native Japanese proficiency

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and delivery of Japan-based projects.
  • Translate documents and communications between Japanese and English as needed.
  • Act as a bridge between Japanese clients and non-bilingual team members, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
  • Prepare reports and documentation in Japanese and/or English based on project requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure timely execution and delivery.
  • Work under general guidance with detailed assignment plans, while exercising independent judgment in task execution.
  • Provide suggestions and insights to support team objectives and identify potential follow-on work.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and teamwork.
  • Welcome coaching and guidance from more experienced peers.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate manager or Japanese point of contact (POC)

Qualifications

  • [Preferred but not required] Certified at JLPT N2, N1, or Native-level Japanese proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Experience in project coordination, translation, or client-facing roles is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a shifting schedule and hybrid setup.
  • Can be for High school graduates or College undergraduates if with relevant work experience in bilingual support or Japanese-related roles.
