Fujitsu is looking for a candidate to strengthen our system operations and employee IT support structure, we are seeking a part-time IT Support Assistant. This is a contract position for approximately 6 months.
This role requires on-site work for at least three days per week (approximately 20 hours total) at our Santa Clara office.
Responsibilities
- Respond to IT-related inquiries from employees (PCs, peripherals, networks, applications, etc.)
- Set up hardware and software; perform troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Provide basic operations and support for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets
- Assist with IT asset management (PCs, mobile devices, licenses, etc.)
- Create and update IT-related manuals and FAQs
- Coordinate with vendors and external support providers as needed
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in IT support or help desk roles
- Basic operational experience with Linux OS (installation, user management, log review, etc.)
- Experience using and supporting Windows and macOS
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with employees and stakeholders
- Ability to work on-site at least 3 days per week (approximately 20 hours)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Linux-related certifications (LPIC, CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, etc.)
- Experience with account management in Active Directory, Azure AD, or Google Workspace
- Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems
- Basic security knowledge (permission management, patching, antivirus, etc.)
- Knowledge of IT operations frameworks such as ITIL

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $30.00 - $40.00/hour USD.
