SAP SuccessFactors Recruitment & Onboarding Technical Lead

Experience

8–12 years of total IT/HR systems experience, including 6+ years in SAP SuccessFactors, with minimum 2 full-cycle end-to-end implementations of Recruitment Management (RCM) and Onboarding / Onboarding 2.0.


Role Summary

The SAP SuccessFactors Recruitment & Onboarding Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, integration, and delivery of SuccessFactors Recruitment and Onboarding solutions. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, deep functional understanding, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable system solutions while leading customer interactions and technical teams.


Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead minimum 2 complete end-to-end implementations of:
    • SAP SuccessFactors Recruitment Management (RCM)
    • Onboarding / Onboarding 2.0
  • Own all project phases:
    • Discovery & requirement gathering
    • Solution design & system architecture
    • Configuration & build
    • Integrations & data migration
    • Testing (Unit, Integration, UAT)
    • Cutover, go-live, and post-production support

2. Technical Configuration & Solution Design

Recruitment Management (RCM)

  • Configure:
    • Job Requisition templates
    • Job Application templates
    • Candidate Profile
    • Offer Approval workflows
    • Recruiting Posting rules
  • Manage:
    • XML-based template configuration
    • Business Rules Framework
    • Role-Based Permissions (RBP)
  • Implement:
    • Job distribution to external/internal job boards
    • Candidate status configuration
    • Email triggers and notifications
  • Optimize recruiting process flow based on business hiring models.

Onboarding / Onboarding 2.0

  • Configure:
    • Onboarding processes and programs
    • New Hire Data Review
    • Compliance forms and e-signatures
    • Tasks, panels, and document flows
  • Setup:
    • Integration with Employee Central
    • Hiring Manager and New Hire dashboards
  • Manage onboarding rules, workflows, and alerts.


3. Business Interaction & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a technical advisor to business stakeholders, HR leaders, and recruiters.
  • Translate business requirements into:
    • System configurations
    • Technical designs
    • Integration specifications
  • Conduct:
    • Requirement workshops
    • Design walkthroughs
    • Configuration demos
    • UAT support sessions
  • Provide recommendations on best practices and system optimization.

4. Testing, Deployment & Support

  • Lead:
    • Unit testing
    • Integration testing
    • UAT defect resolution
  • Manage cutover planning and go-live activities.
  • Provide post-go-live hypercare and production support.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues.

5. Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and mentor junior consultants and configuration teams.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP SuccessFactors implementation standards.
  • Prepare:
    • Technical design documents
    • Configuration workbooks
    • Integration specifications
  • Support audits, system upgrades, and quarterly SuccessFactors releases.
