Research Intern
Fujitsu Research America (FRA) is inviting research internship applications in the domains of Human-AI Interaction and Computer Vision. The internship will involve researching and building systems that use LLMs, ML or CV models. The internship will target publications at top-tier conferences. Selected candidates will work with FRA’s Pittsburgh office, either remotely or in person. The expected duration of the internship is between 12-24 weeks. The expected start date will be in Summer 2026.
FRA conducts fundamental research in several cutting-edge areas of technology including Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Human-Computer Interaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing PhD in Computer Science or related discipline in the U.S.
- Experience with Python programming and building systems with Gen AI
- Experience with ML/CV
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D modeling, reconstruction, and tools such as Blender or Unity
- First-author publications at top-tier conferences such as CHI, UIST, CVPR, NeurIPS etc.
- Experience with conducting user studies or evaluations
Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $31/hr. to $50/hr. USD.
