Role and Accountabilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow BCM Developer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on development experience, specifically focused on implementing and customizing Business Continuity Management (BCM) solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in ServiceNow development best practices, with a proven track record in configuring foundational BCM data, building robust roles and access controls, developing plan management functionalities, implementing approval and notification systems, executing data migrations, and creating impactful reports and dashboards. This role requires a strong understanding of BCM concepts coupled with advanced ServiceNow development capabilities.

In addition, the successful candidate(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
• ServiceNow BCM Development: Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and functionalities specifically for Business Continuity Management, in alignment with business requirements and architectural best practices.
• Foundation Data Setup: Implement and configure foundational BCM data structures within ServiceNow, including business services, applications, locations, processes, critical assets, and dependencies, ensuring data integrity and relationships are accurately established.
• Roles and Access Controls: Develop and implement secure and efficient role-based access control (RBAC) mechanisms for BCM within ServiceNow, including ACLs, user roles, groups, and contextual security, to enforce data segregation and compliance.
• Plan Management Build: Develop and configuring BCM plan templates within ServiceNow (e.g., Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery, Business Unit Recovery). Implement and customize documentation sections for BCP plans, loss scenarios, and associated recovery strategies.
• Approval and Notification Development: Build and optimize complex workflows, Flow Designer flows, and integrations for BCM approval processes and automated notification systems (email, SMS, push notifications) for plan activation, testing, updates, and incident management.
• Data Migration: Develop and implement scripts, integrations, and data loading mechanisms to execute the migration of current active BCM plans and related historical data from various sources into the ServiceNow BCM module, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Reporting and Dashboard Development: Create, configure, and customize advanced reports, performance analytics dashboards, and indicators within ServiceNow to provide real-time insights into BCM program status, plan compliance, incident response, and key performance indicators.
• Integration Development: Develop and maintain integrations with other enterprise systems as required for BCM processes (e.g., CMDB, GRC, HR, Incident Management).
• Code Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and support testing activities (unit, SIT, UAT) to deliver high-quality, performance, and scalable solutions.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the ServiceNow BCM applications.
• Stay Current: Remain up to date with the latest ServiceNow platform features, releases, and BCM industry trends to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
• Contribute to the development of Fujitsu IP solutions in ServiceNow.
• Coach and advise other Developers.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with the ServiceNow platform, with a significant concentration on Business Continuity Management (BCM) module implementation and customization.
• Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow development, including JavaScript, GlideScript, APIs, UI Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes.
• Proven experience implementing and configuring ServiceNow BCM foundation data, including CMDB integrations and relationship mapping for BCM entities.
• Extensive experience in developing and managing complex roles and access control mechanisms (ACLs, context-sensitive security) specific to BCM within ServiceNow.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and customize BCM plan templates, record producers, and documentation frameworks.
• Proficiency in building and optimizing ServiceNow Workflows and Flow Designer flows for approvals and notifications.
• Strong experience with data migration techniques into ServiceNow, including import sets, transform maps, and data validation.
• Expertise in developing sophisticated reports, performance analytics solutions, and dashboards.
• Experience with various ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, CSM, GRC) preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working using agile methodologies using the SDLC best practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skills and Certifications
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is required.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in GRC/ IRM is highly Preferred.
• Experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, integrations with other systems).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Familiarity with industry BCM standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301).
• ServiceNow Micro Certification – Business Continuity Management (BCM).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
