Whitbread Small Change Technical Architect Activities

Pre Formal Engagement

  • Enquiries received via email / Teams messages around the ‘art of the possible’ aligned with a requirement
  • If requirement is valid, individual is directed to raise a formal Enhancement request in the Service Catalog

Formal Enhancement Request Received

  • Once the formal Enhancement request is raised, consulted by the Product Owner during the pending approval phase
  • Guidance provided around the validity of the requirement and an early view given on potential solution and the associated size of the work package to deliver it

Enhancement Approved

  • Once the Enhancement is approved, it is received for scoping. This may require liaison with the requestor for further details / clarifications which is achieved via a scoping session.
  • This stage also provides the requestor with a view on whether the Enhancement will be delivered via BAU, Small Change or Project route

Enhancement is a Small Change

  • If the Enhancement is a Small Change, the Small Change Statement of Work document is populated and approval is gained from the ServiceNow Practice lead architect aligned to Practice solution governance for it to be sent to the Customer Platform Owner

Small Change SoW Approved

  • Facilitate the approval of the Small Change Statement of Work by the Customer Platform Owner, including answering any questions they may have and sign-posting them to the next steps to initiate the work
