Role Overview
The Country Lead – Cloud Native Applications Capability is a senior enterprise leader responsible for defining and scaling a high-impact, future-ready cloud native applications capability aligned to global business priorities.
The role owns the end-to-end strategy, financial performance, and transformation agenda for Cloud Native and Enterprise Applications. Beyond delivery, this leader drives market differentiation through capability building, AI-led innovation, and strategic growth partnerships.
This position acts as a bridge between business strategy, technology transformation, and execution excellence, ensuring the capability delivers sustainable growth, competitive advantage, and measurable business outcomes.
The role is expected to translate portfolio priorities and strategic plans into measurable business outcomes by driving modernization, digital transformation, and operational excellence across global delivery teams.
The leader will play a pivotal role in strengthening client relationships, embedding generative AI and application modernization into delivery models, and ensuring strong governance to deliver sustainable value and scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Capability Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
- Define and execute the global strategy for Cloud Native Applications capability, aligned to enterprise growth priorities.
- Drive differentiated positioning in Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce and other platforms (Workday, Maximo, Glovia OM).
- Drive capability maturity, standardization, and scalability.
2. Business & Financial Leadership (P&L Ownership)
- Own end-to-end P&L performance, including revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization.
- Define investment priorities, and productivity levers to drive profitable growth.
- Lead financial governance through proactive risk management and margin protection strategies.
3. Growth, Client & Ecosystem Leadership
- Act as a solution approver from Capability line reviewing solution and commercial outcomes.
- Build and strengthen senior-level relationships across key accounts and global stakeholders.
- Identify and drive new growth avenues across geographies, and emerging technologies.
- Represent the capability in forums, client discussions, and leadership reviews.
4. Transformation, AI & Innovation Leadership
- Lead AI-driven transformation of application delivery, embedding GenAI, automation, and predictive analytics at scale.
- Define and operationalize the Cloud Native Applications CoE strategy as a hub for innovation and best practices.
- Drive creation of reusable assets, accelerators, and IP, improving competitiveness and speed-to-market.
- Champion continuous innovation through pilots and emerging technology adoption.
5. Talent & Leadership Development
- Define capability roadmap for skills evolution (AI, consulting-led delivery).
- Develop a leadership pipeline and succession strategy to support long-term growth.
- Foster a high-performance, innovation-driven, and customer-centric culture.
6. Governance & Delivery Assurance
- Establish governance frameworks ensuring high-quality delivery outcomes.
- Provide executive oversight on critical programs and escalations, with a focus on risk mitigation and value realization.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, contractual, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery excellence through KPIs and performance insights.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- 20+ years of experience preferably in enterprise application services
- Proven track record of owning and managing large global capabilities (400+ workforce).
- Strong experience in driving business growth, transformation, and financial outcomes.
- Preferred exposure to ERP ecosystems, with multi-platform awareness.
- Experience across consulting, transformation, and managed services models.
