< Scope of responsibilities and expected results >
The role is to provide firewall design, troubleshooting and monitoring of the CDU network. (Specifically, Europe but not limited to that. Core hours are Europe 8:30 to 17:00 GMT, some out of hours will be needed)
Strong hands-on expertise in Design / implementing network / security solutions
Subject-matter expert in Cisco Firewall solutions
Proven ability to design, deploy, and roll out Cisco ISE end-to-end
Specialist product knowledge of security technologies including firewall configuration, log analysing, virtualizing, automation and optimization. Cisco ideally, Fortinet and Palo Alto would be an advantage, but generic is the requirement. (Desirable CCNA security or equivalent knowledge)
Knowledge of Firewall Management Platform, (Cisco Firewall Management Centre would be an advantage)
Knowledge of carrying out and analysing packet capture
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Advanced knowledge of Network Routing & Switching, WLAN, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancers, and Network Security
Lead troubleshooting investigations into Firewall issues, coordinating, managing multiple support teams.
