- Profile/Role Description: Take lead in escalations for Incident and Problem management as MSSQL DBAProvide Level 2 & 3 operational support and incident resolution for supported technologies.
- Update standards documentation as necessary.
- Knowledge on implementing ITIL practices in Support.
- Work Experience:4 to 6 Years of SQL Server DBA experience in implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning & handling, to ensure the database availability catering to various applications.
- This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- MUST HaveExcellent in SQL Server fundamental/ArchitectureManage patching, installation, upgrade of SQL Server in standalone & HA environment.
- Excellent hands on in DB Migration Planning and ExecutionConfigure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently analyze, solve critical issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end especially in all type of HA environment Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Manage database backup & restore.
- Good knowledge of All High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerCreate & manage DBA maintenance jobs effectively.
- Manage security, enforce password policy.
- Hands on experience in profiler, auditing & DMV viewsShare domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
- Handle & manage complex issues effectively.
- Experience in handling customer and bridge calls.
- Handson experience in Linux basic commands will be preferred.Willing to learn Sybase ASE, IQ, and replication.
- Provide 24x7 support from the office.Good ITIL knowledgeQuick learner, up-skills self & team, drive to learn new technologies.
- Added Skills Exposure on Power Shell/TSQL ScriptingA working knowledge of the ticketing tool SNOW/Remedy would be an advantage.
- Basic/intermediate knowledge as Sybase DBA at L1 levelHands-on skills in Linux commands & Shell ScriptingManage SQL Server in Linux PlatformSybase ASE,IQ and Sybase replication Knowledge
