Java/SQL Developer
Requirement Details
• Supporting the Student Information System (SIS) SaaS environment (K-12)
• Work in a dynamic Agile programming team environment
• Produce high quality code, on time, and on target
• Research and understand product requirements to ensure success
• Engineer software through its complete lifecycle
• Developing and modifying reports within Java reporting tool, Jasper Reports
• Developing and modifying customized Java code for specific applications
• Developing and modifying customized SQL for reporting
• Applying DevOps best practices
• Documenting code and work following development standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Strong Java development and skills - ORM frameworks such as Apache OJB, Web services, Java Servlet/JSP, MVC patterns (5+ years)
• Strong web development skills - HTML / XML, JavaScript / jQuery, CSS (5+ years)
• Strong SQL Server skills (1 to 3 years)
• Strong object-oriented programming and analysis skills (5+ years)
• Demonstrated experience and advocate for test-driven development
• DevOps, Agile (1 to 3 years)
• Source Control – Git (1 to 3 years)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, energy and passion for software development and the ability to work in a team environment.
Desirables Skills/Experience
• Apache OJB (3 to 5 years)
• Tomcat / JBoss (1 to 3 years)
• Proficiency with Eclipse IDE
