The Internal Communications Apprentice Program is a structured 12-month learning opportunity designed for graduates in Mass Communications who are looking to build hands-on experience in corporate and internal communications.
The apprentice will work closely with the Senior Communications SPOC and support end-to-end communication initiatives including content drafting, design coordination, stakeholder engagement, leadership communication, and campaign execution. This role combines guided learning with real-time exposure to organizational communication practices.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Drafting & Execution
· Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading internal communication materials such as emails, newsletters, announcements, intranet content, presentations, and leadership messages
· Support execution of internal communication plans and calendars
· Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of messaging across communication channels
Stakeholder & Leadership Communication Support
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, leadership teams, business functions) to gather inputs and align on communication requirements
· Support leadership and executive messaging initiatives including townhalls, leadership updates, and organizational announcements
· Assist in preparing briefing notes, talking points, and presentation content
Brand, Content & Design Coordination
· Support brand and content management by ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and tone of voice
· Coordinate with internal or external design teams/vendors for creatives, layouts, and visual assets
· Assist in maintaining and improving brand visibility across internal platforms
Events, Campaigns & Engagement Initiatives
· Support planning and execution of internal events, campaigns, and engagement initiatives
· Assist with event-related communications, content creation, logistics coordination, and post-event communication
· Support emceeing or anchoring activities during internal events, as required
Digital & Traditional Communication Support
· Assist in managing digital communication platforms such as intranet, emailers, and collaboration tools
· Support traditional communication initiatives including posters, standees, and print collaterals
· Assist in tracking communication reach and engagement metrics and preparing basic reports

Eligibility & Qualifications
Education
· Graduate in Mass Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field (mandatory)
Skills & Competencies
· Strong command of written and spoken English
· Good drafting, editing, and storytelling skills
· Basic understanding of corporate communications and branding
· Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
· Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Word, and email tools
· Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe tools) is an advantage
