Job Description:
The AWS Glue Data Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, enhancing, and troubleshooting AWS Glue-based data pipelines and workflows. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS Glue, AWS S3, SQL, Python/PySpark, data ingestion, data transformation, job monitoring, and production support. The resource should be able to support pipeline failures, perform data validation, and coordinate with Snowflake, ODI, Oracle, and application teams for end-to-end data flow resolution.
- Enhance, maintain, and support AWS Glue jobs, workflows, crawlers, data catalog objects, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Build and support data ingestion from SFTP, APIs, JSON files, AWS S3, Oracle, Postgres, and other structured or semi-structured data sources.
- Monitor Glue job execution, analyze failure logs, troubleshoot pipeline issues, and resolve data refresh delays.
- Perform data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accurate downstream reporting and analytics.
- Support ServiceNow incidents, service requests, tasks, and change requests as per defined SLA and escalation process.
- Assist in release validation, deployment support, rollback preparation, and environment migration across Dev, Test, Non-Prod, and Prod.
- Maintain pipeline documentation, job schedules, dependency maps, runbooks, support notes, and known-error records.
Core Skills: AWS Glue, AWS S3, AWS Glue Data Catalog, SQL, Python, PySpark, ETL/ELT development, data ingestion, file-based integration, API-based integration, JSON handling, job monitoring, failure troubleshooting, production support, and data validation.
Good-to-Have Skills: CloudWatch or equivalent monitoring tools, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Databricks, ODI, Oracle, PL/SQL, IAM, Lambda, AWS Transfer Family, SFTP, technical documentation, release support, and environment migration support.
