Job Title:Application Support Analyst
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Application Support Analyst to provide technical support and maintenance for applications running on IBM WebSphere 9.0, developed in Java 8, and integrated with Microsoft SQL Server 2016. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in middleware technologies, and a solid understanding of application lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:
Application Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support for applications deployed on IBM WebSphere Application Server.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application and middleware issues promptly.
  • Monitor application performance and implement fixes or enhancements as needed.

Middleware & Integration:

  • Manage WebSphere configurations, deployments, and tuning for optimal performance.
  • Support integration with backend databases and external services.

Development & Enhancement Support:

  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing Java-based application components.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy patches, updates, and new features.

Database Management:

  • Work with MS SQL Server 2016 for data management, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Create and maintain queries, stored procedures, and reports as needed.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate documentation for application configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for AI,  automation and process optimization.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0 administration and support.
  • Strong knowledge of Java 8 and related frameworks.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2016, including T-SQL and performance tuning.
  • Experience with AI coding and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with application support processes, incident management, and SDLC.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.

Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
