Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on knowledge of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and SQL.
The candidate will design, develop, test, and support ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
The role also requires exposure to Python for scripting, automation, and data processing.
The candidate should be able to work independently and take ownership of assigned deliverables.
Primary Skills – Must Have
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC.
- Advanced SQL development skills.
- Experience in developing ETL and ELT pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience in source-to-target data integration.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

2. IDMC Development
- Design and develop ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica IDMC.

- Build parameter-driven and reusable integration components.
- Maintain existing IDMC pipelines and workflows.
3. SQL Development
- Develop complex SQL queries for data processing and reporting.
- Create and maintain stored procedures and database objects.
- Perform joins, aggregations, data validation, and reconciliation.
- Optimize SQL queries for better performance.
- Troubleshoot database and query-related issues.
4. Data Integration and Data Quality
- Integrate data between different source and target systems.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
- Implement data quality checks and reconciliation controls.
- Manage rejected records, duplicate data, and missing values.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- Support error handling, recovery, and restart processes.
5. Testing and Validation
- Prepare unit test scenarios and test data.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing.
- Validate record counts, business rules, and transformation results.
- Support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Resolve defects identified during testing.
6. Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting
- Monitor IDMC jobs and pipeline performance.
- Optimize mappings, taskflows, SQL queries, and database operations.
- Analyze failed jobs and data processing errors.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
7. Deployment and Production Support
- Support code migration across development, testing, and production environments.
- Follow project release and change management processes.
- Monitor production data pipelines.
- Resolve incidents and production data issues.
- Coordinate with dependent teams during deployments.
- Provide timely status updates for critical issues.
8. Governance and Documentation
- Follow data security, privacy, and governance standards.
- Maintain mapping documents and technical design documents.
- Prepare operational and deployment documents.
- Document configurations, dependencies, and support procedures.
- Support knowledge transfer to project and support teams.
9. Collaboration and Delivery
- Work closely with business analysts, data architects, application teams, and testing teams.
- Participate in technical discussions and design reviews.

- Complete assigned work within agreed timelines and quality standards.
