We welcome strong PhD and Master’s students who want to engage in focused, high-impact research projects with strong publication potential. Interns will collaborate closely with our scientists and CMU partners to explore new algorithms for persistent memory, long-horizon reasoning, and structural learning in VLA-based robotic systems.

Interns may work on problems such as hypergraph or topological reasoning layers for VLAs, persistent context modules for long-range tasks, structural descriptors derived from trajectory point clouds, cross-embodiment transfer, and building robotic foundation models that scale gracefully across tasks. This role is ideal for students who want a research-intensive experience with autonomy, fast iteration, and opportunities to contribute to papers and patents.

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. ​ It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $45/hr. to $66/hr. USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
