Fujitsu Research of America (FRA) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled research engineer to join our Pittsburgh Research office. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with researchers, internal project teams, and external collaborators in leading universities to advance cutting-edge computer vision, machine learning, and human-computer interaction technologies.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering and development of solutions proposed by researchers.
- Solve complex engineering challenges in computer vision and AI, including generative AI, zero-shot learning, 3D computer vision, and related downstream tasks.
- Participate in all phases of development, including requirement analysis, software design, architectural implementation, documentation, and module enhancement.
- Establish Fujitsu Research’s scientific reputation by publishing research in top-tier CV, HCI, and AI venues.
Required Skills:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field
- Strong expertise in developing downstream tasks in computer vision, machine learning, or related fields.
- Strong programming proficiency in relevant languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, and C++
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping and testing methodologies to validate solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Strong publication record in top-tier conferences and journals in computer vision, HCI, or related fields.
- Experience in interdisciplinary research collaborations.
- Experience in full-stack development, including frontend (React.js, Three.js, HTML, CSS) and backend (protocols, SQL).
- Hands-on experience with 3D engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine for prototyping.
Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $119,000 to $170,000 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
