Role Purpose
The Payroll specialist is responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll processing in Australia and New Zealand, ensuring that all employees (approx. 2,500) are paid accurately and on time.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supporting the monthly, fortnightly and weekly payroll processes and offcycles, including new starters and terminations.
• Extracting data from UKG (T&A system) and process into payroll system
• Assist in PAYG and PAYE preparing process and actioning of ATO/IRD letters
• Identifying and participating in continuous improvement projects to drive efficiences within payroll including streamlining processes and improving operations.
• Safeguarding the organisation by ensuring the right processes, governance and controls are in place.
• Monitoring the payroll mailbox, ensuring employee queries are resolved in a timely manner
Desired Experience, Knowledge & Attributes
• Payroll experience across Australia (New Zealand experience is highly regarded)
• Solid understanding of Australian and NZ legislative entitlements.
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP is ideal.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Awards and UKG or similar time recording system.
