Fujitsu Canada is seeking a full-time, permanent Development Lead to support enterprise-scale Knowledge Management (KM) modernization projects. This role focuses on leading development teams, configuring cloud-based COTS products, and integrating AI-driven solutions within hybrid environments to deliver scalable and intelligent KM systems..

Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure SaaS cloud-based COTS products to fulfill KM project requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to development team members.
  • Ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and processes across development activities.
  • Lead defect management and resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align development with solution architecture.
  • Support the implementation of AI-assisted authoring, semantic validation, and knowledge-as-code pipelines.
  • Oversee the integration of modular APIs and cloud-native services for scalable KM delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Facilitate agile development practices and DevOps workflows.

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience developing and configuring SaaS cloud-based COTS products.
  • Proven leadership in defect management and resolution.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 integration.
  • Expertise in DITA XML, document-as-code, and structured content management.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
  • Strong understanding of AI-enabled tools and semantic technologies.
  • Experience with UI/UX design and accessibility standards.
  • Agile/Scrum and product management experience.
  • Knowledge management expertise including taxonomy and metadata strategies.
  • Server-side programming and API integration experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/French).
  • Experience in solution architecture and security compliance.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with AI/ML/NLP frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Hugging Face).
  • Familiarity with contradiction detection, semantic validation, and knowledge graphs.
  • Exposure to conversational UI platforms (e.g., Copilot Studio).
  • Experience with automated publishing workflows and post-migration analytics.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, ITIL, SOC 2).
  • Experience with multilingual datasets and content merging.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience supporting regulated or public sector environments.

General Requirements

  • Must reside in the Gatineau area in Quebec.
  • Hybrid work arrangement — onsite at least three days per week, with additional days as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Eligibility for Reliability Security status; minimum five years’ residency in Canada.
  • Experience working in a multicultural or multilingual environment.
  • Familiarity with agile or other modern project management methodologies.

Previous experience in a remote or hybrid work setting.

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. ​ It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $85,456.00 to $109,872.00 CAD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
