Fujitsu Canada has a full-time, permanent opportunity for an Intermediate Developer to lead AI-assisted automated testing within our innovative team. Working within the Microsoft 365 and Copilot ecosystem, you will design and build an AI-assisted automated testing framework and lead performance and regression testing to keep our solutions reliable, secure, and high quality. This is a role for an experienced developer who has built test automation from the ground up and is ready to set technical direction, mentor others, and drive quality across complex applications.

Responsibilities
• Architect, build, and maintain a scalable AI-assisted automated testing framework from the ground up.
• Lead the design and execution of performance, load, and stress testing, and analyze results to identify bottlenecks.
• Develop and own comprehensive regression testing suites to protect quality across frequent releases.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools to generate, maintain, and continuously optimize test cases and test data.
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and champion shift-left, continuous testing practices.
• Validate AI-enabled features such as intelligent search, recommendations, and automation.
• Define test strategy, coverage standards, and quality metrics, and report on them to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and testers, and review automation code for quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, governance, and security in delivered solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software developer.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building automated testing frameworks, not only writing test cases.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript).
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or pytest).
• Proven experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, or Gatling).
• Experience designing and maintaining regression testing suites for complex applications.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 Ecosystem.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with AI-assisted development or testing tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or Copilot Studio).
• Experience leading a test automation initiative or mentoring a QA/automation team.
• Awareness of AI-enabled tools and frameworks such as Azure Cognitive Services.
• Experience with containerization and cloud deployment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Azure).
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to semantic search or AI-driven content retrieval.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and bilingual UI considerations.
• Experience supporting regulated or public sector environments.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.

General Requirements
• Must reside in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
• Hybrid work arrangement — onsite at least three days per week, with additional days as needed.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Eligibility for Reliability Security status; minimum five years’ residency in Canada.
