Fujitsu Canada is seeking a full-time, permanent Information Architect to support the delivery of enterprise-scale Knowledge Management (KM) modernization initiatives. This role emphasizes expertise in DITA XML, structured content design, and semantic architecture within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable information architectures for KM systems.
  • Develop and manage DITA XML templates and modular content structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with metadata and taxonomy standards.
  • Support AI-assisted content processing, contradiction detection, and semantic enrichment.
  • Ensure content lifecycle processes (versioning, publishing, archiving) are optimized for KM delivery.
  • Integrate structured documentation with SharePoint Online and other KM platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge graphs and retrieval-augmented frameworks.
  • Maintain bilingual content integrity and accessibility compliance.

Mandatory Skills

  • 5–10 years of experience in information architecture or knowledge engineering.
  • Expertise in DITA XML and document-as-code principles.
  • Experience with metadata design, taxonomy development, and classification.
  • Proficiency in XML/XSLT, including DOM manipulation and XPath expressions.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python for ETL workflows and automation.
  • Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and semantic validation.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML/NLP tools for content analysis and contradiction detection.
  • Professional bilingual proficiency (English/French) for documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with FrameNet, RDF, SPARQL, and ontology design.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cognitive Services and semantic search frameworks.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau for post-migration analytics.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and multilingual UI design.
  • Prior work in public sector KM modernization or regulated environments.
  • Experience with document chunking for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices and bias mitigation.

General Requirements

  • Must reside in the Greater Ottawa/Gatineau area.
  • Hybrid work arrangement — onsite at least three days per week, with additional days as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Eligibility for Reliability Security status; minimum five years’ residency in Canada.
