Job Role: Asset Management Specialist

GRF Title: Service Process Specialist - 10

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

Responsible for delivering end-to-end IT Asset Management services, including New Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) activities, inventory and stock management, CMDB maintenance, asset allocation, repair coordination, recovery, and disposal. Ensures services are delivered in line with SLAs, KPIs, compliance requirements, and customer expectations while driving operational excellence and continual service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management Operations
  • Manage the complete asset lifecycle from allocation through recovery and disposal.
  • Support New Joiner, Mover, Leaver, Refresh, Break-Fix, and Replacement activities.
  • Coordinate asset allocation, deployment, transfers, collections, repairs, and disposal.
  • Inventory & CMDB Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory and CMDB records.
  • Perform stock verification, reconciliation, and lifecycle status updates.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure asset availability to meet business demand.
  • Queue & Service Management
  • Manage ticket queues, ageing work items, backlog, and SLA risks.
  • Prioritize workload and drive timely resolution of requests and tasks.
  • Escalate service risks and operational issues where required.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key point of contact for Service Desk, support teams, and customer.
  • Manage operational escalations and ensure effective communication.
  • Build strong working relationships across service delivery teams.
  • Governance & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with Asset Management processes, controls, and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to Service Improvement Plans (SIPs), process optimization, and automation opportunities.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT Asset Management or IT Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, inventory control, stock management, CMDB, and disposal processes.
  • Experience with Xurrent (4me), ServiceNow, Intune, SCCM, or similar ITSM/Asset Management tools.
  • Strong ownership, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing queues, SLA performance, customer escalations, and service improvement activities.
  • Strong customer service orientation and focus on business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a global service delivery environment.

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with Xurrent (formerly 4me).
  • ITIL Foundation certification (ITIL 4 or ITIL Version 5).
  • Experience in managed services or multi-supplier environments.
  • Exposure to Active Directory, Intune, endpoint management, and audit/compliance activities.
  • Experience driving Service Improvement Plans (SIPs), operational excellence initiatives, process maturity programs, and automation opportunities.
