SOC Skills

  • Alert triage and incident classification

  • Basic threat analysis and log investigation

  • Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework

Security Tools (Hands-on exposure required, not just awareness)

  • SIEM: Sentinel / Splunk / XSIAM / QRadar / 

  • EDR: CrowdStrike / SentinelOne / Defender

  • Vulnerability: Qualys or similar

  • Ticketing: ServiceNow / Jira

Technical Fundamentals

  • Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPN)

  • OS fundamentals (Windows & Linux logs)

  • Understanding of authentication mechanisms


    Certificates 

  • Sentinel One Certified 
  • XSIAM Certified
  • Palo Alto Certified 
  • CrowdStrike Certified
