| Job Description: Oracle Fusion Inventory & Costing Cloud — Lead Consultant Location: United States Employment Type: Full-Time Travel Requirement: Up to 75% domestic travel within the US; Rarely International travel may be required ________________________________________ About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Fusion Inventory & Costing Cloud Lead Consultant to join our growing practice. In this senior client-facing role, you will lead end-to-end implementations of Oracle Inventory Management Cloud and Cost Management Cloud solutions, serving as the primary functional subject matter expert for clients across discrete manufacturing industries — including Industrial Manufacturing and, ideally, Automotive Tier 1 suppliers. You will work closely with operations, finance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, best-practice inventory and costing solutions that provide real-time visibility into material flows, accurate product costing, and tightly controlled financial inventory valuations across complex, multi-organization manufacturing environments. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Implementation & Delivery • Lead full lifecycle implementations of Oracle Fusion Inventory Management Cloud and Cost Management Cloud modules — including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support • Conduct current-state assessments and business process workshops covering inventory organization structures, costing methods, material flows, cycle counting, and financial reconciliation processes • Design and configure Oracle Inventory Management Cloud — including inventory organizations, subinventories, locators, item master, unit of measure classes, inventory transactions, material workbench, and interorganization transfers • Configure Oracle Cost Management Cloud — including cost organization setup, cost book definitions, valuation structures, cost profiles, standard costing, actual costing, and landed cost management • Implement costing processes including cost rollup, cost update, pending cost scenarios, cost comparison reporting, and period-end cost processing and inventory valuation reconciliation • Configure lot and serial number tracking — including lot genealogy, expiration date management, serial number generation, and lot/serial transaction history for traceability requirements • Configure cycle counting and physical inventory processes — including count schedules, count classes, ABC classification, count sequence generation, adjustment approvals, and reconciliation with General Ledger • Design and implement interorganization transfer processes — including direct transfers, in-transit transfers, transfer orders, and associated accounting entries • Develop and review functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test scripts, data migration templates, and end-user training materials • Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data conversion validation, and cutover planning activities • Manage hypercare and post-go-live support to ensure successful adoption and stabilization Client & Stakeholder Engagement • Act as a trusted advisor to client operations, supply chain, finance, and IT leadership teams • Bridge the gap between supply chain operations and finance by aligning inventory transaction flows with accurate cost accounting and financial reporting requirements • Facilitate working sessions and executive workshops to align inventory strategy, costing methodology, and Oracle solution capabilities • Proactively identify risks, scope changes, and integration dependencies, and communicate them with clear mitigation recommendations • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships that support continued growth and engagement Team Leadership & Practice Development • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level consultants on Oracle Inventory and Costing functional best practices, configuration techniques, and client delivery skills • Contribute to pre-sales activities including RFP responses, solution demonstrations, and client presentations • Support practice development through creation of reusable accelerators, configuration templates, and methodology documentation specific to Oracle Inventory and Cost Management • Stay current on Oracle Cloud quarterly release updates relevant to Inventory and Costing, and assess their impact on active client environments ________________________________________ Required Qualifications Oracle Functional Expertise Inventory Management Cloud • Deep, hands-on expertise in Oracle Inventory Management Cloud — including inventory organization setup, subinventory and locator structures, item master configuration, unit of measure (UOM) classes and conversions, and inventory transaction types (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, miscellaneous transactions) • Strong understanding of material workbench and inventory transaction processing — including pending transactions, transaction corrections, transaction history, and on-hand quantity management across multiple organizations • Proven expertise in lot control and serial number tracking — including lot attributes, lot expiration, lot genealogy tracing, serial number generation rules, and lot/serial transaction history to support quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance requirements • Strong experience in interorganization transfers and transfer orders — including direct and in-transit transfers, shipping networks, transfer order creation and execution, and associated accounting flows • Experience configuring min-max planning, reorder point planning, and replenishment requests within Inventory and their integration with Procurement and Manufacturing • Deep understanding of cycle counting and physical inventory processes — including ABC classification, count class assignment, count schedules, approval thresholds, and inventory adjustment accounting integration with Oracle Financials Cost Management Cloud • Deep, proven expertise in Oracle Cost Management Cloud — including cost organization structures, cost books, valuation units, cost profiles, and the relationship between inventory organizations and cost organizations in a multi-org environment • Strong expertise in Standard Costing — including cost component setup, resource and overhead rates, cost rollup processes, pending vs. frozen costs, and standard cost variance analysis (purchase price variance, manufacturing variance, usage variance) • Strong expertise in Actual Costing (AVCO/FIFO) — including perpetual average cost updates, FIFO layer management, actual cost processing, and reconciliation of inventory value to the General Ledger • Experience configuring and managing cost rollup and cost update processes — including BOM-based cost explosion, routing cost absorption, overhead allocation, and period-end cost finalization • Solid understanding of Landed Cost Management — including landed cost templates, charge names, cost factors, allocation methods (quantity, weight, volume, value), and their impact on purchase order receipt valuation • Strong experience with inventory accounting and period-end close processes — including cost accounting distributions, perpetual and periodic costing reconciliation, inventory valuation reports, and integration with Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA) and General Ledger • Familiarity with cost reporting and analysis — including cost breakdown, cost comparison, margin analysis, and item cost history reporting using OTBI or Oracle Cost Management reporting tools Broader Oracle SCM & Finance Integration Knowledge • Strong working knowledge of Oracle Item Master and Product Data Hub (PDH) — including item costing attributes, make/buy attributes, cost-enabled flags, UOM, and their downstream impact on cost rollup and inventory valuation • Solid understanding of Oracle Manufacturing Cloud processes — Work Orders, Resource Charging, Backflushing, Scrap, and their relationship to cost absorption and WIP accounting • Understanding of Oracle Procurement Cloud and Receiving — including PO matched receipts, receipt accounting, accrual clearing, and their impact on inventory cost layers and landed cost • Solid understanding of Oracle Cloud data flows and accounting entries across SCM and Finance modules (Inventory, Manufacturing, Procurement, Subledger Accounting, General Ledger) and end-to-end reconciliation checkpoints Industry Experience • Demonstrated experience implementing Oracle EBS (e.g., Oracle Inventory, WMS, Cost Management) or Oracle Fusion Inventory & Cost Management Cloud solutions for clients in discrete manufacturing industries — such as Industrial Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment, Automotive Tier 1, High-Tech, or similar complex make-to-order/make-to-stock/configure-to-order environments • Working knowledge of manufacturing inventory and costing operations — including raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory management, standard cost maintenance cycles, variance analysis, and period-end inventory close processes in multi-site, multi-currency environments • Familiarity with industry inventory and costing best practices and operational frameworks (e.g., APICS/ASCM, GAAP/IFRS inventory valuation principles, lean inventory practices) Technical & Analytical Skills • Proficiency in reading and interpreting functional design documents, data mapping specifications, and system configuration guides • Experience with Oracle integration tools and middleware concepts (e.g., FBDI, REST/SOAP APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud) as they relate to Inventory and Costing data flows and migrations • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex inventory control and & Costing solutions for Automotive Tier 1 manufacturers — including familiarity with automotive-specific inventory practices such as lot/serial traceability for IATF 16949 compliance, sequenced inventory management, JIT/Kanban material flows, and OEM-driven costing and variance reporting requirements • Experience with Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud (WMS) — including directed putaway, directed picking, task management, cartonization, and advanced lot/serial handling for complex warehouse operations • Exposure to Oracle Manufacturing Cloud cost absorption — including resource and overhead absorption, WIP valuation, job close variances, and their impact on inventory and GL reconciliation • Experience with Oracle Landed Cost Management in import-heavy or global sourcing environments — including customs duties, freight, and insurance cost allocation across multiple receipt lines • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Financials — specifically Subledger Accounting (SLA) rule configuration as it relates to inventory and cost accounting event classes • Experience with Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud and how inventory on-hand, item attributes, and replenishment parameters feed planning processes • Oracle Cloud Inventory, Cost Management, or SCM certification(s) • Familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or OTBI for inventory and cost management reporting and
