Job Description: M365 Exchange SME/Lead
Role Overview
We are looking for a M365 Exchange SME/Technical Lead to lead the delivery, and ongoing operations of Microsoft 365 and collaboration solutions for a global customer environment. This role will encompass technical leadership, and operational management primarily with Exchange, additional knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Copilot are value added.
The successful candidate will lead the M365 Exchange BAU (Business-As-Usual) team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, while also driving new M365 exchange projects to enable digital transformation and enhance collaboration experiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- M365 Exchange Delivery excellence
- Define and support as M365 Exchange SME.
- Contribute to Exchange related governance frameworks, security models, and compliance strategies aligned with global standards.
- M365 Exchange infra improvement and future roadmap planning.
Technical Leadership
- Lead BAU Operations and lifecycle management of Exchange Solutions.
- Oversee integration of messaging, collaboration, and identity/security solutions (Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA).
- Drive automation, monitoring, and proactive support practices to ensure service reliability.
Operational Excellence
- Lead the M365 Exchnage BAU team, ensuring high availability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage escalations, incident response, and continuous service improvement.
- Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms for operational health.
Project Delivery
- Support and lead new M365 Exchange projects, including migrations, upgrades, and feature rollouts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Act as a trusted SME to stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Build strong relationships with global stakeholders and customers.
- Champion best practices and knowledge sharing across Exchange infra.
Required Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 Exchange ecosystem: Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid.
- Proven track record in global-scale deployments and customer support leadership.
- Familiarity with identity and security integration (Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation, and monitoring tools.
Certifications (Preferred/Required)
- Microsoft 365 (MS-203) Certified
- Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
- Additional certifications in Azure, M365, Security, or Collaboration tools are a plus.
