AR Intern
Purpose of the role
This is an entry-level opportunity in a corporate finance environment. As an AR Intern, you will support defined Accounts Receivable processes and help ensure that activities are completed accurately, on time and in line with established operating procedures.
You will work as part of a team and build effective working relationships with colleagues across the finance organisation.
Your responsibilities
- Support the creation and validation of customer invoices, ensuring that billing requests are processed accurately and in line with established procedures.
- Assist with credit memo and invoice cancellation processes, including reviewing requests and preparing the required documentation.
- Participate in month-end billing activities by supporting billing checks, resolving exceptions and helping the team meet reporting deadlines.
- Monitor billing-related queries and support their resolution in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to billing process improvements and automation initiatives, including testing new solutions.
Your skills and experience
- Completed secondary education or higher education in progress.
- Up to one year of experience in accounting.
- Good written and spoken business English, enabling effective communication across the finance organisation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A basic understanding of accounting processes.
The following would be an advantage:
- Experience in a Shared Services, Business Process Outsourcing or Global Business Services environment.
- Some working knowledge of SAP.
