Senior AWS Data Engineer:
- AWS Glue: Familiarity with AWS Glue for carrying out ETL operations, including understanding of Glue Catalog, Glue Jobs, and Glue Crawlers.
- AWS S3: Good knowledge of AWS S3 for data storage and retrieval, including understanding of S3 bucket management, data transfer, and security features.
- AWS Lake Formation: Experience with AWS Lake Formation for creating, securing, and managing data lakes, including understanding of data lake architecture and security policies.
- AWS Athena: Ability to use AWS Athena for data querying, including basic SQL knowledge and the ability to optimize queries for performance.
- Data Modelling: Skills in designing and implementing data models for specific use cases.
- Security: Basic understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
- Performance Tuning: Skills in optimizing the performance of AWS services for specific use cases.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to AWS services.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines.
- AWS Certification: Having an AWS certification, such as the AWS Certified Big Data or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, would be beneficial.
Nice to have:
- AWS Redshift: Understanding of AWS Redshift for data warehousing tasks, including knowledge of data loading, data modelling, and performance tuning.
- AWS Aurora: Familiarity with AWS Aurora for relational database services, including understanding of database management, SQL, and database optimization.
