Portfolio Security and Regulatory Compliance Officer
The Portfolio Security and Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring all new and updated Fujitsu Offerings and Products designated for Europe adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, security requirements and evolving European regulatory compliance standards. This role acts as a critical interface between Offering teams, legal, security, privacy, and other specialist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to embed security requirements, regulatory compliance and ethics throughout the offering lifecycle, from initial concept to sales and delivery readiness. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to educate, support, and assess offerings, minimizing security or non-compliance risks and enhancing Fujitsu's reputation for secure, ethical and robust product development.
This role is part of the Readiness and Release team within Europe Portfolio and collaborates with colleagues primarily in Europe and globally. The Readiness and Release team provide advice, guidance and oversight for offerings from Global teams, Europe, and local Country offerings for readiness to sell and deliver in Europe.
Your Role
You will own the end-to-end security and regulatory compliance offering development process as part of Europe Portfolio Readiness and Release. Working towards continuous improvement across roles and activities.
- Compliance Strategy & Guidance:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant internal policies, external legislation, and evolving European "expectations" or acceptance criteria pertinent to Fujitsu Europe Offerings and Products.
- Translate complex security and regulatory compliance requirements into clear, actionable guidance for Offering teams.
- Education & Support:
- Educate Offering team members on security and compliance best practices, regulatory changes, and specific requirements relevant to their products.
- Provide expert support and consultation to Offering teams to help them understand and integrate security and regulatory compliance measures effectively into their development processes.
- Proactive Compliance Assessment:
- Actively assess Offerings and Products throughout their lifecycle to identify potential security or regulatory compliance gaps and risks.
- Conduct pre-emptive reviews and audits, working closely with Offering teams to implement necessary adjustments and minimize non-compliance risk before release.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy:
- Engage proactively with specialist SMEs across Fujitsu (e.g., Legal, Security, Data Privacy, Regional Compliance Officers) to ensure security and regulatory compliance requirements are current, fit for purpose, and reflect external legislation.
- Work to rationalize and streamline security and regulatory compliance processes, advocating for approaches that minimize workload for both Offering teams and end customers while maintaining exacting standards.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Contribute to the creation and review of security and regulatory compliance-related documentation relating to products and offerings.
- Report on security and regulatory compliance status, identified risks, and mitigation strategies to relevant stakeholders and management.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor the effectiveness of security and regulatory compliance processes and tools, proposing, and leading initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging regulations, and technological advancements impacting product security or compliance.
Transferable Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in security, regulatory compliance, risk management, or product assurance within a technology or services environment.
- Strong understanding of the security requirements for service and/or technology offerings.
- Thorough understanding of European regulatory landscapes, particularly in areas relevant to service and/or technology offerings (e.g., GDPR, AI Act, industry-specific certifications).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable operating independently and being proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented in solving complex, non-standard problems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and educate diverse stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal English, ability to explain complex things in a concise and clear manner; additional European languages are an advantage.
