NOC Frontline Engineer (Internal Posting)
About the Role
We are looking for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Frontline Engineer to join the Service Operations & Maintenance team. In this role, you will monitor network alarms and incidents, support customer environments, and work closely with internal teams, service providers, and customers to ensure network availability and service quality.
This position supports a 24x7 operation and may require flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network alarms, events, and tickets across multiple customer environments.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and escalate network incidents as needed.
- Create and manage incident tickets using monitoring and ticketing tools.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and service providers during incident resolution.
- Follow established operational procedures and escalation processes.
- Communicate network issues and updates to stakeholders.
- Support compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work collaboratively within a multi-vendor, multi-customer environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Service Desk, or technical operations environment.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, Ethernet, and IP technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and ticket management tools.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telecommunications technologies.
- Exposure to Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Fujitsu, or similar networking technologies.
- Knowledge switches, firewalls, routers, or wireless networking.
- Relevant industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, ITIL, etc.).
