The Enterprise Data & Integration Architect will lead the end-to-end assessment of a client’s complex data ecosystem and produce a future-state technical reference architecture spanning data platforms, integration patterns, governance frameworks, and enabling technologies.
This role operates at the intersection of enterprise architecture, data engineering, and platform strategy. The architect will evaluate current-state capabilities, identify structural and technical gaps, and design a scalable, secure, and modernized target architecture aligned to business strategy and digital objectives.
This is a client-facing leadership role requiring strong executive communication, deep technical breadth, and structured architectural discipline.
Experience
10+ years in enterprise architecture, data architecture, or integration architecture
5+ years leading enterprise-wide architecture transformation initiatives
Experience assessing large, heterogeneous environments (>$1B enterprises preferred)
Demonstrated success designing modern data platforms
Technical Expertise
Data architecture patterns:
Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Hub-and-Spoke, Domain-Oriented
Integration patterns:
API-led connectivity
Event-driven architecture
Message brokers
Microservices integration
Strong familiarity with:
ETL/ELT frameworks
Streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka ecosystems)
Metadata management & data cataloging
Identity & access management
DevSecOps and CI/CD for data pipelines
Architectural Discipline
Proficiency in:
Logical and physical architecture modeling
Reference architecture development
TOGAF or comparable framework
Ability to define standards and guardrails
Structured assessment methodology
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Manufacturing 4.0, CPG, or industrial environments (complex OT/IT landscapes)
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience integrating ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle)
