DevOps Engineer (Level 2)

 

The Opportunity: We are seeking a talented and experienced Level 2 DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality software. You'll work with a modern tech stack, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability. What You'll Do:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Development & Management: Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automation, orchestration, and deployment across various environments.
  • Source Code Management: Manage and optimize our source code repositories, primarily Bitbucket, ensuring best practices for branching, merging, and version control.
  • Artifact Management: Administer and leverage Artifactory for efficient management of binaries, dependencies, and build artifacts.
  • Code Quality & Security: Integrate and configure Sonarqube into our CI/CD pipelines to enforce code quality standards, identify potential bugs, and ensure maintainability. Experience with Coverity for static analysis and security vulnerability detection is a significant plus.
  • Collaboration & Tooling: Work closely with development and Testing teams to understand their needs and provide robust DevOps solutions.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code, ensuring consistent and repeatable deployments.
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems and applications.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for CI/CD related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement within our DevOps processes and tooling, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for our CI/CD pipelines, tools, and processes.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong focus on CI/CD.
  • Proficiency with Jenkins for pipeline orchestration, plugin management, and job configuration.
  • Solid experience with Bitbucket for source code management, including repository administration and branching strategies.
  • Demonstrable experience with Artifactory for artifact management and repository setup.
  • Proven experience integrating and configuring Sonarqube for code quality analysis within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and optimization from concept to deployment.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) including understanding of cloud infrastructure, services, and deployment models.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A passion for automation and continuous improvement.

 

 

1Finity salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. ​ It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $104,411 to $149,158 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
