Position Summary:
The Program Manager Level III leads and coordinates multiple, complex projects within a strategic program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable business value. This role owns program planning, cross-project governance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement across all program components.
Tools & Platforms:
- SAP – financials, cost centers, procurement, and capitalization tracking
- Asana – program portfolio, roadmaps, dependencies, dashboards
- Microsoft Suite – proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, Project
- Verizon systems – understanding and experience with FUZE, CND, and INAMS platforms
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects focused on the deployment, migration, and modernization of IP and layer 3 networking equipment, including Cisco, Nokia, Juniper and Ciena platforms.
- Own the end-to-end program plan and governance, integrating scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resourcing across multiple projects.
- Develop and maintain program plans, master schedules, and dependency maps using tools like Asana, SAP, Microsoft Project, etc.
- Prepare and deliver program-level status reports, executive summaries, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
- Implement program-level quality assurance and compliance with organizational processes, documentation standards, and audits.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues; drive cross-project resolution and escalation pathways.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure proper integration, configuration, and testing of multi-vendor network devices.
- Lead change management activities to maintain alignment with evolving business needs and partner expectations.
- Manage program financials in SAP
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance across project and functional teams.
- Contribute to organizational program management maturity and best practices.
- Champion adoption of internal tools and dashboards for real-time program tracking and stakeholder transparency.
- Remote role, although this position may require 10% travel for customer visits and in office team meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, program management, engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certification (PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive program/project management experience, with leadership of large-scale, complex, multi-project programs.
- Basic knowledge of layer 3 and optical networking equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge and experience with telecom central office environment preferred
- Experience with Asana, Microsoft Project, or other project management tools for portfolio planning, scheduling, resource management, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP for program financial management (budgets, forecasts, cost controls, procurement).
- Experience with Verizon Wireless tools preferred (ex: FUZE, CND, INAMS).
- Attention to detail with a proven record of accurate, audit-ready documentation and reporting.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive presentation skills; ability to tailor messages to technical and business audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills; demonstrated success in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
- Experience in risk management, dependency management, and change control across multiple projects.
- Demonstrated program financial acumen.
- Experience driving process improvement and standards.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $82,540 to $117,914 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
