We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Product Line Manager (PLM) to join our growing product team. This role is crucial for defining and championing our flagship L1000/L2000 products in the market. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure our offerings meet market needs, drive adoption, and achieve business objectives. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses a strong blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and is passionate about bringing innovative products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Definition and Strategy: Collaborate with the PLM and engineering teams to define clear, concise, and market-driven product requirements and specifications. Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new product opportunities and enhance existing offerings.
- Outbound Product Positioning & Support: Develop compelling product collateral to articulate product value propositions to internal and external audiences. Act as a product evangelist, presenting to customers, prospects, and partners, gathering critical feedback, and using these insights to refine product definitions.
- Customer & Market Intelligence: Regularly engage with customers to understand their needs, pain points, and emerging trends. Translate market intelligence and customer feedback into actionable product requirements and opportunities for innovation, ensuring our products remain competitive and relevant.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure successful product launches, ongoing product improvements, and effective market penetration.
- Product Lifecycle Contributions: Provide outbound-facing lifecycle support, contributing to product end-of-life planning and communication strategies, and ensuring smooth transitions for customers.
- Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to inform product strategy and positioning.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track and analyze product performance metrics, customer satisfaction, and market adoption to identify areas for improvement and guide future product iterations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.
The PLM will work closely with many organizations, including Product Planning (East and West), Development (East and West), Sales, Operations, and our Network Services and Integration Business Unit (NSIBU).
The PLM should have a strong technical background; the ability to make sound, informed decisions; strong interpersonal and communications skills; a can-do attitude; the ability to motivate others; and a desire to work in a cross-cultural environment. Travel may be required occasionally, but is expected to be light (e.g., less than 10%).
1Finity salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $148,677 to $212,395 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
