Role Purpose

Responsible for the design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards. The provision of application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the applications or to service delivery functions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design small to medium‑sized solutions or partial solutions within an established architecture.
• Produce high‑quality solutions and documentation for routine and non‑routine problems using a structured approach.
• Contribute to the successful design of medium‑sized components.
• Contribute to the production, maintenance, and/or testing of maintainable solutions with a low density of defects.
• Schedule and monitor own work, escalating issues and queries appropriately to ensure project timescales are met.
• Contribute to and, when required, produce project plans for small to medium‑sized solutions or partial solutions.
• Provide input to effort estimates for proposals or bids.
• Engage with customers to clarify and understand requirements.
• Communicate issues, risks, and dependencies in a timely manner.
• Fluently present technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences, verbally and in writing.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in team meetings and quality‑assuring deliverables.
• Contribute to other teams through collaboration, inputs to meetings, and quality assurance of deliverables.
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying and implementing ideas that exceed customer expectations.
• Provide limited guidance or oversight on the work of others, when applicable.
