Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support MECM/SCCM infrastructure in an enterprise Defence environment
- Assist in the build and support of Operating System Deployment (OSD) task sequences, including troubleshooting deployments across high-latency and satellite-connected sites
- Manage software packaging, deployment, and patch compliance through SUP/WSUS integration
- Monitor and remediate client health, maintaining endpoint compliance across a distributed environment
- Assist with boundary and boundary group management under direction from senior engineers
- Work collaboratively with senior engineers, leveraging guidance and mentorship to build technical capability and resolve complex issues
- Escalate complex technical issues to Level 3 engineers where required
- Contribute to documentation including runbooks, standard operating procedures, and change records
- Participate in change management processes in accordance with Defence ICT standards
Skills and Experience
- MECM/SCCM administration
- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory
- PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting
- WSUS management and software update compliance
- PKI and certificate management in the context of MECM (HTTPS mode, CMG)
- SQL Server fundamentals (SSRS reporting, ad-hoc ConfigMgr DB queries)
- Networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, boundary management)
- Experience working in a Defence or high-security ICT environment
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Must hold or be eligible for an Australian Government security clearance (NV2 minimum)
