As part of the Corporate Insight Department under the Marketing Strategy Division, the Market Intelligence Associate is responsible for gathering data, conducting research and providing analysis relevant to the industry and markets within which Fujitsu operates.

Typical research projects are likely to focus on market trends and competitive landscape, to inform Fujitsu’s business positioning and strategy.

The research will further support Business Units and Regional strategies, as required.

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.

The Market Intelligence Associate reports to the Market Intelligence team Manager.

Key Responsibilities

    • Inquiry Response: Conduct research and create insightful reports based on inquiry requests from internal stakeholders.
    • Support Decision-making: Work closely with business managers across HQs and various Fujitsu business groups, units, and regions - to support and guide their business decisions by providing strategic, actionable and timely market insights reports.
    • Project Management: Manage your research projects from scope to delivery, work independently and with limited degree of direction.
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments by actively monitoring news sources, analyst reports, and thought leadership—bringing a strong understanding of both business and IT landscapes to inform strategic insights and competitive analysis.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Mandatory
    • At least 2 years experience in a professional Market Intelligence organization. Knowledge and experience of research functions; within the IT market is a plus
    • Experience working with OMD and external analyst firms (Gartner, Frost and Sullivan; IDC and others)
    • Knowledge of Fujitsu Uvance and Wayfinders business
    • Cross-cultural/international experience
    • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and internal teams built on trust and credibility
    • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research and various research techniques, deriving meaningful and business-oriented insights and translating them into actionable recommendations
    • Critical and strategic thinking mindset, including capability to assess current situations, draw conclusions and propose innovative solutions for business problems.
    • Fluent English (Business level)
