The Enterprise Architect is a senior account position, responsible for providing enterprise and solution architecture leadership to a key Federal Government customer. This role requires deep expertise in designing and governing custom Azure-based solutions, with a strong emphasis on identity management, security, and compliance. The Account Architect ensures consistent architectural governance across current and future states, working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive innovation, optimise IT environments and mitigate risk.

The Account Architect will work closely with senior account stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with the Protective Security Policy Framework, Information Security Manual and other government security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor, leading technical governance activities and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and oversee enterprise architecture, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical oversight and consultancy to ensure managed services and operational environment align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with account stakeholders to define and implement an architecture roadmap that supports business transformation and innovation.
  • Ensure architectural decisions align with security policies, including PSPF, ISM, and the Essential Eight.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks within the IT environment.
  • Represent the organisation at governance forums, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT strategy.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance identity security, leveraging technologies such as Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance frameworks.
  • Assist in presenting new and existing Fujitsu capabilities to stakeholders, demonstrating how emerging technologies and innovations can drive value and efficiency. Identify opportunities for expanding Fujitsu’s engagement by aligning architectural strategies with evolving requirements.
  • Maintain an architecture decision register and ensure technical risks are tracked, mitigated, and reported.
  • Provide day to day management of the Fujitsu architecture team 
  • Proactively contribute through architecture, to strengthening Fujitsu’s relationship with the customer and the retention and growth of the account revenue.


Skills and Experience

  • Minimum NV1 clearance.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a senior IT architect or consultant architect, with expertise in enterprise and solution architecture.
  • Proven experience designing and governing complex Azure-based solutions, particularly within Federal Government environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of identity security frameworks, including Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Strong understanding of Australian government security frameworks, including PSPF, ISM, and the Essential Eight.
  • Experience in architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, with a demonstrated ability to lead architectural governance processes.
  • Broad knowledge across multiple IT domains, including cloud computing, networking, data management, cybersecurity, and IT operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging with senior government officials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical strategies to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading technical teams and driving architecture initiatives across large-scale environments.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
