Role Summary: Managed Print Services (MPS)
The Print Management Services Engineer will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-wide print management platforms and print servers. The role requires expertise in Canon Uniflow, Printix, Lexmark Markvision, and Windows Print Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) to ensure secure, efficient, and highly available print services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Print Management Systems Administration
Administer and support Canon Uniflow Online, IWEMC, and E-Maintenance services for device monitoring, print accounting, and proactive maintenance.
Manage and configure Printix Secure Print Services for secure printing, mobile print, and cloud integration.
Maintain Lexmark Markvision and CFM services for centralized device configuration, firmware updates, and print fleet management.
Oversee print queue management and implement optimized queue routing and load balancing.
2. Print Server Configuration & Management
Configure and manage Windows Print Servers on Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 platforms.
Install and manage printer drivers, queues, and ports using Print Management Console and PowerShell.
Manage printer deployment via Group Policy, SCCM, or Intune.
Monitor print spooler services, troubleshoot queue errors, and ensure high print server availability.
Implement secure print release, print auditing, and quota management policies.
3. Operational Support & Maintenance
Perform regular maintenance and patching of print management systems and servers.
Manage user authentication integration with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Generate reports on print usage, costs, and device status.
Coordinate with Canon, Lexmark, and Microsoft support teams for escalations.
4. Documentation & Collaboration
Maintain detailed documentation for print infrastructure configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with infrastructure, endpoint, and network teams to optimize print performance.
Participate in print infrastructure upgrade and migration projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 4-6 years in enterprise print management or infrastructure support.
Technical Expertise in:
Canon Uniflow Online, IWEMC, E-Maintenance
Printix Secure Print Services
Lexmark Markvision and CFM
Windows Print Server configuration (2016, 2019, 2022)
Print queue management, driver deployment, and troubleshooting
