We are seeking multiple talented researchers to join Fujitsu’s Quantum Technology R&D Internship Program.  As a research intern, you will conduct original research aligned with Fujitsu’s strategic vision for quantum computing. This role sits at the intersection of quantum algorithms, quantum applications, quantum information theory, and quantum compilation, and integrates closely with computer engineering, software engineering, and artificial intelligence.Your role will involve:Conducting novel research activities in the field of quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and/or quantum compilationTesting novel ideas empirically using quantum simulators or real-quantum hardware as applicableParticipating in developing relevant quantum software libraries as requiredProducing technical reports on the proposed approaches and its impact through detailed theoretical and numerical analysisPresenting work and progress to other team membersStaying on top of current research literature and advancements in related areasParticipating in industry-academia collaborative researchRequired skills:Final-year M.Tech./M.S./B.Tech./M.Sc. or pursuing Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, or a related fieldExperience in Python based quantum development frameworksExperience in Python based machine learning frameworksTechnical courses or recognized certificate courses in Quantum ComputingStrong ability to learn new topics in a rapidly developing fieldAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentEffective communication skills for both technical and semi-technical presentationsAbility to take ownership of work, effective documentation/organization/progress tracking abilityPreferred qualifications:Strong publication and/or project track-recordNo parallel course-work load in the internship durationKnowledge of quantum computing, quantum algorithms, machine learningExperience with high-performance computingExperience with open-source quantum simulators, Git, code review, documentationValues:
