The OpsRamp SME is responsible for providing expert-level support, configuration, and strategic guidance for the OpsRamp IT operations management platform. This role involves deep technical knowledge of OpsRamp’s capabilities, including monitoring, automation, service mapping, and integrations, to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business goals.
- Serve as the primary expert on OpsRamp platform capabilities, architecture, and best practices.
- Design and implement monitoring solutions using OpsRamp for infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
- Configure and manage alerting, dashboards, and automation workflows.
- Integrate OpsRamp with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, WSUS) and other third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with IT teams to define monitoring requirements and ensure coverage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpsRamp agents, collectors, and integrations.
- Provide training and documentation for internal teams on OpsRamp usage and administration.
- Stay updated on OpsRamp product updates and roadmap, advising on adoption strategies.
- Participate in audits and compliance reviews related to monitoring and observability.
- Support onboarding of new services and environments into OpsRamp.
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, monitoring, or observability.
- Hands-on experience with OpsRamp platform and its modules (monitoring, automation, service maps).
- Strong understanding of SNMP, WMI, APIs, and cloud-native monitoring.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
