Job Description:

  • Technical Consultant for Infor Workforce Management (WFM) to provide expert Application Management Services (AMS) and Application Development Services (ADS). Technical knowledge of the Infor WFM platform and a proven track record of managing its integrations within a complex enterprise environment.
  • This role will be the primary technical owner for the Infor WFM solution. You will be responsible for the system's stability, performance, and the integrity of data flowing into and out of the application.
  • Your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing the critical interfaces that connect Infor WFM with the client's core Oracle E-Business Suite for HR, Payroll, and Project data.

 

Key Responsibilities System Support & Maintenance (AMS)

 

  • Provide expert technical support for the Infor WFM application, including troubleshooting application errors, performance issues, and back-end process failures.
  • Perform root cause analysis for technical issues related to pay rule calculations, accrual processing, and system jobs.
  • Manage the technical aspects of the WFM environment, including monitoring system health, reviewing application logs, and assisting with patches or upgrades.
  • Provide support for hardware connected to the WFM system, such as time clocks (e.g., Infor Touchscreen Clock), including connectivity and configuration issues.
  • Integration Management & Development (ADS/AMS): Serve as the technical lead for all integrations connected to Infor WFM.
  • This includes employee data imports from Oracle HRMS and time/labor data exports to Oracle Payroll and Oracle Projects. Design, develop, and maintain interfaces using Infor WFM's standard import/export utilities and integration APIs.
  • Work closely with the Oracle integration teams to create and maintain technical specifications for data mappings within ETL tools like ODI and Informatica. Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve data transfer issues between WFM and the Oracle ecosystem, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Configuration & Enhancement (ADS): Implement technically complex configurations within Infor WFM, including advanced pay rules, attestation workflows, and accrual policies.
  • Develop custom reports and data extracts using SQL and the underlying Infor WFM database schema.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements for new functionality and translate them into technical solutions within the WFM platform.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: 

 

  • 8+ years of hands-on technical experience supporting, implementing, and integrating the Infor Workforce Management (WFM) suite (formerly known as Workbrain).
  • Technical Expertise (Must-Have): Infor WFM Core: Strong technical knowledge of the Infor WFM platform, including its architecture, core modules (Time & Attendance, Scheduling, Accruals), and backend job processing.
  • Integration & Data: Proven experience with Infor WFM's integration tools and APIs.
  • Must have hands-on experience building and supporting interfaces for employee data, payroll extracts, and labor exports.
  • Proficiency in related data formats (XML, CSV, Flat File) is essential.
  • Database & SQL: High proficiency in writing complex SQL queries against the Infor WFM database (whether on Oracle or SQL Server) for the purpose of troubleshooting, data validation, and custom reporting.
  • Pay Rules & Configuration: Experience configuring and troubleshooting complex pay rules and accrual policies within the WFM application.
  • Desirable Skills: ETL Tool Knowledge: A strong understanding of how enterprise ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Informatica are used to connect to WFM. Direct experience is a major plus.
  • Oracle EBS Knowledge: Familiarity with the data structures of Oracle HRMS (for employee data) and the import processes for Oracle Payroll or Oracle Projects is highly desirable.
  • Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automating file transfers and integration tasks.
  • Reporting: Experience with reporting tools that may be layered on top of WFM (e.g., Cognos) is an advantage.
  • Professional Skills: Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with HR/Payroll business users and other IT teams (Oracle, Integration, DBA).
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to system support and troubleshooting.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Infor WFM certification is a strong advantage
