Role: Research manager (LLM, AI Cybersecurity- mis/dis/mal)

Job Description

We are looking for a research manager who is in charge of developing our AI cybersecurity technologies such as mis/dis/mal-information detection/countermeasures, cognitive security, Security by/for AI. The manager also needs to be able to build an ecosystem that works with multiple user organizations and drive efforts to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed technologies. A self-driven nature, creativity, strong communication skills, and attention to detail, are traits of a successful researcher in this role. Your role will involve the following:

Conducting research on one or more of the following technologies,

1.Mis/dis/mal-information detection/countermeasure

2.Cognitive security

3.Security by/for AI

- Promoting and implementing trials with user organizations utilizing developed technologies in cooperation with internal and external divisions

- Conducting experiments and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of research findings on simulations and real applications

- Publishing findings in renowned scientific journals and conferences, while also showcasing achievements through presentations at invited talks, conferences, and workshops

- Integrating various stages of technologies, from early stage in-house-developed to commercially available software, to realize impactful solutions

- Fostering collaboration across interdisciplinary teams, including esteemed professors, to propel research endeavors forward

- Managing and leading a team including 4-5 researchers"

Required Skills:

• Ph.D. or similar Post-Graduate qualification in computer science or related field or equivalent research
  - Proven experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning models, especially Generative AI (Hands-on experience with Large Language Models or Diffusion Models – advantage)
  - A passion for cyber security and Anti-disinformation
  - Proficiency in Python/PyTorch and popular data science libraries
  - Good research track record and publications in top-tier conferences and journals
  - Experience in leading research collaboration projects with tangible outcomes.
  - Able to propose research topics by exploring potential future business opportunities.
  - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  - Experience (>3 years) in managing a A24research team
  - Experience in rapid prototyping and testing methodologies to validate the functionality and performance of developed solutions
  - Experience in integrating multiple technologies from multiple research domains, including AI, security and network
  - Designing and prototyping applications combining a variety of tools and platforms
  - Experience in machine learning programming written in Python and/or web frontend programming written in TypeScript
  - Experience in interdisciplinary research collaborations
• Strong publication record in theoretical ML papers at top venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IJCAI, AISTATS, UAI, AAAI, JMLR etc.)
