We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Lead to guide Fujitsu's contribution to a future where people and nature thrive in harmony. This is a strategic and influential role responsible for advancing our environmental sustainability agenda across climate action, circular economy, and nature positivity initiatives.
Working across a diverse stakeholder landscape, you will help shape strategy, strengthen governance, drive sustainability outcomes, and support the delivery of high-quality environmental reporting and disclosures.
About the Role
As Environmental Sustainability Lead, you will play a critical role in embedding sustainability across the organisation through strategic leadership, governance oversight, operational engagement, and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
-
Lead the ongoing development and evolution of Fujitsu's Climate Transition, Circularity, and Nature Positivity strategies.

Identify emerging sustainability risks, opportunities, and market trends, supporting their integration into business planning and decision-making.

Develop initiatives that deliver positive outcomes for customers, communities, and the environment while supporting long-term business resilience and value creation.
Governance & Policy
-
Support and oversee Fujitsu's Environmental Sustainability Governance framework, including engagement with executive and senior leadership sustainability forums.

Maintain oversight of Fujitsu's ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring continued compliance and successful audit outcomes.

Define and maintain greenhouse gas emissions governance frameworks, including methodologies, controls, assumptions, and data quality standards.

Support climate-related financial disclosures, emissions reporting, and sustainability data governance practices.

Develop and maintain sustainability policies, procedures, and guidance materials aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Implementation & Support
-
Drive progress against sustainability targets and support sustainable innovation initiatives.

Partner with procurement, facilities, supply chain, operations, service delivery, and transformation teams to embed sustainability into business operations.

Lead climate and nature scenario analysis and support environmental risk and opportunity assessments.

Review environmental controls and sustainability programs, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Drive sustainability capability-building, education, and engagement programs across the business.

Improve sustainability data quality, accessibility, and governance to strengthen reporting and decision-making.
Measurement & Reporting
-
Report sustainability performance, targets, and initiatives to senior leaders and external stakeholders.

Lead mandatory and voluntary environmental reporting obligations, including climate-related disclosures.

Continue to mature Fujitsu's carbon accounting capability, including emissions factor management and reporting controls.

Oversee sustainability data collection and reporting systems to improve reliability, transparency, and auditability.

Analyse environmental performance data to identify strategic insights, risks, and opportunities.

Respond to sustainability information requests from customers, industry bodies, and Fujitsu Group entities.
About You
You are a sustainability professional who combines strategic thinking with strong technical expertise. You enjoy translating complex environmental challenges into practical business outcomes and can confidently influence stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
Essential Experience
-
4-6+ years' experience in environmental sustainability.
- Experience supporting climate-related financial disclosure frameworks such as AASB S2, ISSB, TCFD, or equivalent.

Strong understanding of sustainability-related risks, opportunities, and value creation within the private sector.
-
Demonstrated analytical capability and experience working with sustainability metrics, reporting processes, and complex datasets.
-
Proven experience in greenhouse gas accounting, emissions reporting, and carbon management programs.
-
Experience supporting or managing Scope 3 emissions measurement, supplier engagement, and value chain emissions analysis.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated.
Desirable Experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Climate Change, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience implementing or managing sustainability reporting systems, carbon accounting platforms, or environmental data tools.
-
Experience managing an ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System.

Experience conducting climate or nature-related risk assessments, scenario analysis, or transition planning.
